Practice Your Hellos, Master Your Goodbyes.
// Chinatown Newspaper News Stand Installation //
Designed by Jon Lewis [UMI Workshop] for Chinatown Newspaper [Nella Media Group]
This newsstand is located on the southwest corner of Bishop Square in Honolulu Hawaii. Freestanding at the imaginary line between a college campus and Honolulu’s business district; the words ‘Practice Your Hellos, Master Your Goodbyes’ face one of the busiest, most diverse intersections in Honolulu. The newsstand arrests pedestrians and passing motorists with its high contrast color ways and stark message.
UMI Workshop is the pseudonym of Jon Lewis. A young ambitious designer, who’s personal mantra is “I Make Cool Shit”. His work exhibits a deep love for print, a tongue for copywriting, and a passion for craftsmanship. This piece represents an artistic collaboration between UMI and NELLA MEDIA GROUP.
